How to plan materials with MeasureHatch
Start with a single calculator, enter actual project dimensions and select Add to project board. Save different rooms separately, so you can review their estimates independently. When you need extra items such as fasteners, sealant or underlayment, add them manually above. Your board combines planning lines in one printable document.
What does the total cost mean?
Only prices that you explicitly enter are included. A missing price is not treated as a free material. The list can contain alternative estimates (for example, both tile boxes and a tile-installation budget), so some costs may overlap. Review and remove duplicates before using the sum as a budget.
Privacy, limitations and backup
Project items live in your browser’s local storage. We do not upload the list to a server or require registration. Data will not automatically sync between devices. Export the CSV or print a PDF to keep a backup, and do not use this planning list as a final construction purchase order without checking on-site measurements and product information.
Frequently asked questions
Will my project appear on another device?
No. This version saves locally to the browser you are using. Export a CSV or PDF if you want to keep it somewhere else.
Can I change the name of an estimate?
Yes. Use the Rename button beside a saved estimate. To change its calculations, go back to the calculator and add a new estimate.
Does it automatically order materials?
No. MeasureHatch is a private planning and estimating tool, not a retailer or checkout service.
